Artist: Matt Gaser

Matt Gaser (American, b. 19xx) is a Spectrum award-winning illustrator and visual development artist, known mainly for his work in television and video games. While attending the Art Center College of Design, Gaser interned at Klasky Csupo as a background and prop designer for the animated series Rugrats. After graduating, he worked in video games for six years, providing concept designs on such titles as Eragon, Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone, and Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. This work eventually resulted in an opportunity to work on the CGI animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars. After helping craft the first two seasons, Gaser decided to depart from the show and opened his own freelancing studio, Stargaser Illustration. Some higher-profile projects he’s been designing for in recent years include Green Lantern: The Animated Series and the feature films Hop and The Angry Birds Movie. Around this time, Gaser released his first monograph, entitled Fantastical, and has since been working on his first art toy, Prof. Harken.
