Artist: Tokyo Jesus

Sayuru Ishiyama (Japanese, b. unknown) began making original jewelry and sculptures in 2009, eventually evolving reoccurring themes involving skulls and feminine forms to express death, life, fear, and hope. Variably using the identities Tokyo Jesus and T.J. Sayu throughout his career, his modern work focuses on exploring science versus nature through the visual narrative surrounding a Utopia named TokyoJesus, which has an artificial intelligence of the same name within it.
